Your favour kit is delivered with all everything you need to make your favours. Here, we explain step by step how to make the ivory square box “rose and ribbon” wedding favours.
What you will need:
Your favour kit comprising:
• 1 flat-packed ivory square box with lid
• 60 cm burgundy non-fray satin acetate ribbon
• 1 burgundy rose
• 1 personalised favour label
Sharp scissors |
1. Making up the favour box |
Start making your wedding favour by folding the lid of the ivory square box. Bend up the two short sides (top and bottom sides in the image below) along the folds. Fold up the third side (right side in the image below). Fold the long side to make the fourth side of the box and tuck in the base of the lid. |
Now, make up the box base. Start by popping up the box base to form the square shape of the favour box. Fold the three short sides into the inside of the bow and then fold in the long side to form the inner base of the box. |
2. Filling the favour box |
Now you can fill your box favour with your choice of confectionary (sugared almonds, chocolate dragees, fruit dragees, chocolate olives or amandines). |
3. Attaching the printed ribbon |
Put the lid on the box base and tie the ribbon around the favour box. Place the box lid face down on the ribbon. Bring up the sides and cross over the ribbon on the base of the box. Hold the ribbon tightly, turn the box over and tie the ribbon in a double knot on top of the box lid. |
Thread one of the free ends of the ribbon through the hole in the personalised favour label and tie in a simple knot to secure the label. Now, cut the ribbon at the edges of the box. |
Cut the stem of the rose to shorten its length to approximately 2cm and thread it between the label and the ribbon knot. Wrap the stem of the rose around itself to secure it on the ribbon. |
Your burgundy “ribbon and roses” favour box is complete. |
