For super soft freeze-dried rose petals, you can re-hydrate them in a steamy bathroom, not in the shower, for around 30-60min or place the freeze-dried rose petals in a cold unheated garage overnight. The freeze-dried rose petals will then become very soft silky and pliable!
The weight of the freeze-dried rose petals can vary a great deal depending on where they are stored...if in a dry location, they weigh much less than if stored in a place with humidity...the petals absorb the humidity making them heavier. That is why we offer our petals by volume rather than weight.
A small box (500 ml) of freeze-dried rose petals gives approximately five handfuls, a large box (2 litres) gives approximately 20 handfuls of freeze-dried rose petals or decorates 5-6 large reception tables.
Store the freeze-dried rose petals in a cool, dry, dark place, like a bedroom cupboard. Avoid storing the freeze-dried rose petals in high heat & humidity. Given the proper care, our freeze-dried rose petals last for several months.
